Operations Management

The Bowsprit Group provided Operational Design & Process Integration strategies as a member of a diverse six person task force chartered with concept development, program roadmap and implementation plan for a $2.4B federally funded program for the state of California.

 

Oversaw operational implementation including the establishment of a central call center, central processing center and Agile systems development group. Involved with on-going development of call center tools and process improvements to support scalability, enhanced turn times and improved efficiencies.

Requirements and Application Design

The Bowsprit Group provided resources to work with a strike team to identify and document core billing processes and associated governances for one of the nation's largest broadband / telecommunications firms in order to analyze the impact of a 24.6M subscriber system migration to a new SOA billing platform.

 

Compiled and qualified remediation requirements and defined IT requirements in order to mitigate negative impacts to a planned system migration.

The Bowsprit Group provided product planning expertise to the product marketing group of a leading provider of software solutions in the telecommunications industry. These services included the development of product vision, strategy, roadmap and execution plans for the greenfield development of a new CRM and billing platform to meet the needs of the convergent marketplace of the cable and satellite industries.

 

Worked closely with sales, customer support, product development and key customers to gather and prioritize requirements to maximize initial product positioning in the marketplace. Participated in development of first phase of development of the Product Catalog component and its interface to the billing systems.

Requirements and Application Design

The Bowsprit Group provided resources to a leading satellite television provider  to participate with a cross-functional business team to identify operational risks and areas for operational improvements by defining, documenting and qualifying core business processes, human resource requirements and evolving business needs.

 

Optimized existing information systems (ERP, CRM) through the use of a workflow engine to automate select business processes. Established an on-going enterprise improvement framework for continued process improvement and compliance.
